This candle is an ode to Begum Hazrat Mahal, the fearless queen of Awadh who bravely led the 1857 revolt against British rule. Refusing to surrender, she united communities, strategized battles, and inspired many before her exile, becoming a symbol of resistance and female courage in India’s freedom struggle.

Evolving from airy and green, through aquatic and resinous, into earthy and finally warm, musky, and intimate fragrance, this candle mirrors the Sufi-inspired path from outer journey to inner truth, told through scent.

Candle Care

• First burn: Allow wax to melt edge-to-edge to prevent tunneling (typically 1-2 hours)
• Trim wick to ¼ inch (5mm) before each use
• Maximum burn time: 2-3 hours at a time & allow 2 hours cooling time before relighting
• Never allow children or pets near burning candles
• Never leave a burning candle unattended and extinguish before leaving the room or going to sleep
• Never burn on uneven surfaces and maintain room temperature between 16-21°C (60-70°F)
